FREESTYLE NEVER DIES

On Thursday, April 20, 2006 New York City went backwards in time, experiencing the most incredible feeling in the world.  This evening it felt like it was the 1980s again. It felt like time stopped for a moment as we went back to yesteryear.

The Freestyle Extravangaza Reunion took place before a sellout crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  Thousands came to welcome and reminisce with the Freestyle Artists.  We had the pleasure of enjoying once again the likes of Lisette Melendez, Cynthia, Noel, Coro, Johnny O, Shannon, the Cover Girls, George Lamond, Nice & Wild.  That was just the beginning of a special night.

We had the pleasure to see the Queen of Freestyle Mrs. Judy Torres, who with her songs brought back memories of back in the days when we were in High School and hanging out with our friends.   Who can forget Lisa Lisa, the woman who left everyone in the audience all cried out after her performance.

This evening saw a reunion of the King of freestyle K-7 along with his former TKA partners singing the songs that touched our hearts at one time and made us remember why the women went bananas with their combination of moves and powerful love ballads.  The man who closed the show, Steve B, sang his beautiful love songs with his trademark care making each word count and making it a night one will not soon forget.

Many thanks have to go to promoter Adam Torres of Latin Entertainment Group and RMP-Ralph Mercado Presents for making this event possible.  Along with Sal Abbatiello, they are responsible for keeping Freestyle alive.  This Reunion does not stop here.  This is just the beginning as there is more to come.
